'not mentioned in the Republic'[edit]

Either this is in error, or it probably means that Augustus invented them from whole cloth; otherwise, how would we know of their existence? The article is fine, but could use some verification and clarification from modern Anglophone scholarship. Cynwolfe (talk) 12:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As the article itself notes at the top, this topic should really be Sodales Titii, especially as there was a gens Titia (cf. Marcus Titius) - Eponymous-Archon (talk) 20:52, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
