Party's climate policy program[edit]

Matti Putkonen wrote the party's climate policy program. He is communication manager of the party. I called Matti Putkonen as climate skeptic (removal: [1]) based on following three examples:

  • 1) The Metal Union, whos communication manager Putkonen at the time was, invited climate skeptic Fred Singer in Finland. In the same trip Singer tired to stop Russia to join the Kioto protocol. (ref Esko Kuusisto ja Jukka Käyhkö, Globaalimuutos, Suomen Akatemian Figare-ohjelma Otava 2004, page 150)
  • 2) According to Putkosen in 2003 with this development the industrial west will hang itself in the green belt. (ref Esko Kuusisto ja Jukka Käyhkö, Globaalimuutos, Suomen Akatemian Figare-ohjelma Otava 2004, page 150)
  • 3) Matti Putkonen manifested in Oct 2009: Climate change expenses threaten the democracy. Industry of the Western countries should be released from all the climate change expenses and all the responsibilities should be directed to China and India. ([2]).

So in other words you used synthesis. That is contrary to Wikipedia guidelines: "Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources." In any case mr Putkonen is not the focus of this article. But, for the sake of arguing, I'd like to point out that in your last link Putkonen is quoted as saying that "With regard to Co2 omissions, the Finnish industry has dealt with its own share a long time ago". That, along with saying that a big polluter like China should also participate in the reduction of omissions, does not sound like something a climate change denier would say. Putkonen recognizes that there are some problems with the omissions, but he thinks that Finland has already done much to combat them. --Jaakko Sivonen (talk) 20:17, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced statement in the lede[edit]

Fair or unfair, this kind of language doesn't belong in an encyclopedia. Not without a source at any rate:

In this position Soini chewed back the promises Finns Party made prior elections, and by joining financial minister Alexander Stubb's and prime minister Juha Sipilä's government he secured the continuation of Washington Consensus policies in Finland. This was full "U turn" which was supported by the party elite, most notably a member of the European parliament, Sampo Terho, who has consistently supported T.I.N.A (There Is No Alternative) policy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.251.94.186 (talk) 13:05, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing that out. Obviously not neutral language, so I've removed it. Next time, don't hesitate to remove it yourself. Cheers, hydrox (talk) 13:27, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
