Developments[edit]

By previous usage of "later developments" in this article, it actually already means "later developments of the Mongol Empire", because the title of this article IS "Timeline of the Mongol Empire". But if you want to see the word "Mongol Empire" anyway, then let's change it to "later developments of the Mongol Empire" to emphasis this.--Choulin (talk) 04:23, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. --Enerelt (talk) 02:50, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Yuan remnants did not retreat to Mongolia until 1370.--Choulin (talk) 23:56, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And Gegeen Khan (Emperor Yingzong of Yuan) was not murdered in his palace in Dadu, but on his way from Shangdu to Dadu.--Choulin (talk) 00:16, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I made a mistake on the withdrawal of the Yuan. --Enerelt (talk) 13:43, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trand capital[edit]

In 1253-1257, Hanoi was not empty. But it was in 1283.--Enerelt (talk) 01:14, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uh... if the Mongols could conquer Damascus and Baghdad, I don't think they would have much trouble with "deadly heat" - an organized guerrilla campaign that disrupted supply lines combined with a "scorched earth" policy of strategic retreat probably had more to do with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.11.145.74 (talk) 16:32, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Zijing Gap" - is this the same as the "Zijing Pass"?[edit]

Described in the November, 1213 section here, but the term "Zijing Gap" has no Wikipedia/data entry that I could find. The Zijing Pass is described here: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china_great_wall/scene/hebei/zijingguan.htm Jeffme (talk) 04:29, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proper year for Mongol siege of Kashgar?[edit]

This timeline indicates Jebe seizes Kashgar in 1216, but the article for Kashgar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kashgar says Genghis Khan seized Kashgar in 1219 & doesn't mention Jebe or 1216. Jeffme (talk) 06:21, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
