Copyright infringement[edit]

It seems that this BLP has included text copyrighted by the BBC for quite some time now. Anyone up for starting this article from scratch? Jared Preston (talk) 23:05, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-infringing stub[edit]

As the article has been tagged as copyvio, and seems to be a close paraphrase of the BBC article at http://news.bbc.co.uk/newswatch/ukfs/hi/newsid_5150000/newsid_5158500/5158516.stm, I've created a non-infringing stub at Talk:Tim Willcox/Temp to rescue the non-creative elements. Expanded new version[edit]

I've just spent the last half an hour or so expanding the new article, rewriting the material in my own words and chopping out a lot of unnecessary stuff. Should be ok to replace the copyvio stuff now, but will need more work on it. Cheers TheRetroGuy (talk) 19:32, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Relief Presenter"?[edit]

Don't think I'd describe him thus. I have been at home for several weeks with an injury and Tim Willcox seems to be on News 24 almost every single day! Maybe he started out that way but he seems to be one of their main anchors now.86.181.150.246 (talk) 10:23, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BLP sources[edit]

Roscelese it is ironic then that the paragraph you inserted "Willcox apologized in 2014 ..." cites the exact same article in the Independent, one of the two references for the complete section that you removed. The other reference cited in the section, the Algemeiner Journal is as reliable a source as the Independent (it is considered the fastest growing Jewish newspaper in the United States and the Advisory Board is chaired by Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel). I am restoring the section you removed, please do not delete it again, unless you are able to justify your specious accusations that the sources used are unreliable. RSN pretty consistently seems to find that the Algemeiner doesn't meet stringent RS standards. Why not go to RSN or BLPN to check, if you think it's good? –Roscelese (talk ⋅ contribs) 19:18, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I should also add, although the reference cited is the Algemeiner the television clip shown on that page is from the BBC, and the viewer is clearly able to hear Willcox say "a lot of these prominent Jewish faces will be very much against the mansion tax". If you would like to remove a section on the basis that the "Algemeiner doesn't meet stringent RS standards", then I suggest that you take the time check, as it is you who are proposing a major amendment to the article. Nevertheless I see you have no objection to the inclusion of the Independent which many would contend is actually even less RS. Besides which,the Algemeiner is only really acting as a container for the actual BBC News clip in which Willcox can be heard making the anti-Semitic comment.
