1921 federal election[edit]

A Thomas Christie does appear as an unsuccessful candidate in 1921[1] but his profession is listed as "trader" rather than druggist, he is running as a Conservative not a Liberal and the Library of Parliament does not appear to consider this to be the same person since they do not link that entry or show a defeat in his parliamentary history.--Big_iron (talk)

Interesting observations. However, his biography on the official website of the parliament says he did indeed run as a conservative in 1921. He would have been 66 at the time, so it's possible that he retired from the pharmacy and took up less demanding "trade" jobs, which could explain the title. Of course the LPC wouldn't mention that he flipped to the other side. - Sweet Nightmares 21:06, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
