Issues[edit]

  • The CD cover identified as "Version 1" is actually "Version 2" from Europe 1995
  • The CD cover identified as "Version 2" is actually "Version 3" from USA 2004
  • Version 1 had a green border- most of the Virgin TD CD releases had a solid border
  • The track listings are now in a non-standard format per Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums
  • Other covers should be included using {{Extra album cover 2}}

This has been rectified by using Version "A" and Version "B" to designate that there are two versions of the CD rather then attempting to define the exact version of which there are many (11)??. FrankWilliams 15:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • By "barcode", I presume this refers to the UPC Code or EAN-13. There have been 11 different CD releases- each would have a different code; the LPs would probably not have had a barcode.
  • I'm not sure how notable the cover descriptions are as they all use the same art. It looks like it came the the movie poster- would be more interesting to know the artist.

The art is the same but the covers are not; that's the point. The reason for inclusion is for identification purposes. The information is also factual and thus encyclopedic. Yes, it does appear that the artwork itself was lifted from the original movie poster. FrankWilliams 15:13, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The UPC Codes should be there as the info taken from the CD was with those version. I don't have all the version so I can't unequivocally pronounce that the tracks and times are accurate except for those described by those specific UPC Codes. Therefore I'm adding the UPC Codes them back to the article. If someone else wants to add any other UPC Codes that are out there as a reference that's fine but the two mentioned earlier are indicative of the two specific CD's mentioned and referenced. The problem is that UPC codes can change on different runs, even from the same publisher. Early CDs may not have UPC codes. Every list I have seen uses the catalog numbers, which usually do not change. [[1]] --Gadget850 ( Ed) 15:45, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For the record: My copy has EAN-13 Code 5012981219826 (it is 13 digits, so it is the European extended UPC known as EAN-13). It is Virgin catalog CDV 2198 (1985) Germany, with the version 1 cover (green border). --Gadget850 ( Ed) 22:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
