Is it right to say that Brookside was the inspiration for the Scousers? In a video of his (Harry Enfield Undressed), an audience member asks whether Brookside was the inspiration for the Scousers. He replies that they were based on...people from Liverpool. LeighvsOptimvsMaximvs(talk) 23:02, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise, is it right to class these characters as 'Merseysiders'?
Scousers are from Liverpool. Liverpool is only a part of Merseyside and the scouse accent isn't spoken throughout Merseyside.
As per the previous post ... 'they were based on...people from Liverpool.'
