City that Jimmy Morris lives in[edit]

What is the small town that Jimmy Morris and his family live in?

Discrepancy with commentary track of DVD of movie.[edit]

I deleted the line "After making his MLB debut, the film shows him giving the game ball to his dad. In reality, he never did. Morris has consistently had a poor relationship with his father." The commentary track on the DVD claims he did in fact give it to his dad. If this is to be reinstated, it needs to be referenced. I also deleted "The deal involving the Owls reaching the District Playoffs was never a real deal but a joke among the players. 3 teams per district could move into the play-offs and only 3 schools in the district Reagan County was in, at the time, had baseball teams. Thus every team in the district moved into the play-offs, regardless of their win-loss record." The deal described in the movie is not that the team should reach the playoffs, but win them, and surely only one team at a time could do that.--Barend (talk) 14:45, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The Rookie poster.JPG[edit]

Image:The Rookie poster.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dominant Hand?[edit]

What hand does Dennis Quaid use dominantly? Jim Morris, the character was left-handed, so Quaid had to throw with that hand, but is he actually left-handed? Or did he practice using his left-hand when he was really right-handed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.14.217.129 (talk) 19:44, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't matter. If you check out 61*, you'll see that left handed pitching is easily filmed by reversing the uniform and filming the mirror image. MMetro (talk) 12:41, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
