Substantial success[edit]

What did the Southern Pacific Railroad have to say about The Octopus? It seems as if it would be a controversial book, along the lines of Upton Sinclair's The Jungle, but there's very little about its reception. -Ashley Pomeroy 20:45, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
