In case anyone's curious, I own a copy of this book. (The 1966 hardback edition) The modern intro which describes the book's history says it was a big bestseller back in the 1800's. I tried to play that down a bit since I can't prove it. The book is a facinating read though. And by "facsimilie" I mean that the pages in my copy are not in a modern type face. They look as though I'm holding a xerox copy of the original 1814 edition. Steve Cobb (talk) 03:48, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
