Episode descriptions[edit]

Copying and pasting content from a non-free source is the kind of plagiarism I meant to describe. Another user who noticed the same thing removed the plagiarized text. Now I plan to work on creating useful descriptions for episodes, which the previous episode summaries were not. They were more like short commercial "teasers" than useful descriptions. By the way, the reason I ended up here in the first place was that I was hoping the article would explain what happened to Midge's fathers books in one of the episodes. Midge's ethnicity[edit]

I have never seen this series, and it's not clear from the article why Midge's Jewish background is so important it needs to be referred to not just once, but twice. I am a fan of the series. The series devotes a lot of affectionate energy to the Jewish identity of Midge's family and her husband's family as well. The show features kosher butchers, rabbis, Bar Mitzvah, temple, mezzuzahs, etc. The fact that Midge's brother married a gentile provides fodder for much of one episode. After five seasons, it's apparent that this show is meant to be a comprehensive view and examination of American-Jewish life and culture from the inside out of a confined bubble. The show, developed by Amy Sherman-Palladino, is based on her own Jewish background and encompasses many aspects of Jewish beliefs, religion, behavior, daily life, etc. It's not meant to just give brief glimpses into anyone being Jewish. Second season predictions[edit]

In October 2018, with the second season already filmed but not yet released, several RS have published "teasers" from Amy Sherman Palladino, Rachel Brosnahan, and possibly others. We can include this publicly available material in the article if we separate it from the first season, to avoid spoiling surprises for people who want to be surprised. MOS:TVPLOT[edit]

From MOS:TVPLOT: an article should not have both an episode table and a prose summary. If you want to keep the 500 word plot section, the episode summaries need to go.

Anticipating the series to be multi-season, and that episode summaries are shunted off this main page, we can have a plot summary with around 100 words per season.

Personally, I feel this article is best served by having a Plot section. Individual episode summaries does not give nearly the same overview. CapnZapp (talk) 17:06, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
