Not encyclopedic enough?[edit]

At the moment, this entry reads more like a back-cover blurb intended to tantalise than as an encyclopedia entry. I haven't read the book yet; I'll try to come back and add more when I have, but if there's anyone out there who has read it and can contribute now, that'd be great.
