Inspiration[edit]

"After the riot caused by the showing of Fando y Lis(1968), including a murder attempt by Emilio "El Indio" Fernandez, a Mexican film director who felt offended after watching the controversial movie at a local festival, Jodorowsky decided to leave Mexico and continue his artistic ascent in France." --removed from the Inspiration section as this seems irrelevant here and if anything should be included on the Jodorowsky wiki page. Also despite moving to France I believe after Fando Y Lis, first El Topo and then The Holy Mountain were both shot in Mexico. TBliss (talk) 03:23, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Beatles Connection[edit]

It has long been claimed on the internet that the Beatles were marginally involved in the production of this film, which is believable, but Jodorowsky does not seem to be commonly known among Beatlologists. Is he even mentioned in any of their biographies? I think more citations should be added. I can't read Spanish so I don't know how valid http://laclaqueta.net/2010/12/20/the-holy-mountain/ is but it doesn't look very authoritative.
