Could the person who tagged this article please elaborate on their views here. Really when tagging an article it would be good practise to add an explanation. I would agree the article needs improving, but I don't think it is fair to say it reads like an advertisement. With regards to whether it is notable or not, the newspapers association with some of Northern Irelands leading journalists should be enough to satisfy the criteria for noteworthyness.

I would support detagging the article and putting it on the Northern Irish articles notice board as needing further work. --Quarkstorm (talk) 12:18, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you agree that it needs work, why do you want it detagged?
As to why it was tagged (not by me), see this sentence:

From terrorism to teletubbies, prostitution parties to political protests, The Gown has reported it all, providing a colourful account of life within the University and within Northern Ireland.

What is that bit of advertsing copy doing in an encyclopedia article? --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 22:02, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would say the article could still be classed as a stub. I don't think it should be deleted. Quarkstorm (talk) 14:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well there is an argument for removing the 'copy' section (as noted by BrownHairedGirl), so if there are no complaints I would remove it. Andrewbolster (talk) 13:53, 25 February 2010 (UTC) Andrewbolster[reply]
