No Sonny Carson page?[edit]

Just curious...no page for the person, just the movie? A search for his name redirects to this page. 170.20.11.116 (talk) 17:28, 21 June 2010 (UTC)amy[reply]

Yes, I find it surprising. I may just convert that into an article. Tribal Jam (talk) 04:58, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing[edit]

I just watched the movie and it was amazing (just saying) anyways i went on wiki and was disappointing by the overall manor of the page so i decided to edit it as best as i can. However this is my first edit and im wondering about several things. These include the lack of overall sources to be found on the movie as it was a low budget film in the 70's and was in no way a 'blockbuster' so my citations are lacking and i need help finding them (I.E. the main character doesn't even have a wiki page..) also im doing my best to explain the film but again due to lack of citations im using my own knowledge of the film because i literally just seen it and i don't think i can cite myself as a source :( this was a very good film and i would like to see the page represent the quality of cinema i have just watched so help would be appreciated thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.189.95.94 (talk) 10:31, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

low budget?........no.[edit]

"the education of sonny carson" had a budget of a million dollars. a million 1974 dollars. which would be FIVE million in 2014 dollars. so "education" was not a low budget film. it wasn't a big budget, high profile picture. yet it wasn't a cash-strapped, bottom of the barrel indie either. a one million dollar film would have been considered "moderately budgeted" in 1974. so we should take director michael campus' bellyaching with a grain of salt. he did have to face certain budgetary limitations and he had to use his imagination in doing so. that's what film makers DO. a lot more impressive films have been shot on far lower budgets. in 1972, gordon parks, jr. directed "superfly" on a three hundred thousand dollar budget. (THAT must have been a bit of a stretch.) and don't forget that roger corman directed "a bucket of blood" (which is an all time classic) for only FIFTY thousand dollars........ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:558:6017:53:14F3:98FB:2E8A:8889 (talk) 02:06, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
