General Comments[edit]

Of these Tarot card articles, this one is perhaps the one needing most work. I agree with what everyone else said above, about this being largely unsourced. I don't think that most of this is original research or opinion, as I've read it all elsewhere. It meanders over a variety of sources, including Jung (who wrote on Tarot) and the Jungian Tarot book (whose author I don't remember), as well as taking wholesale interpretations out of the booklets accompanying several tarot decks (all of which are copyrighted to U.S. Games systems), and then, some other systems as well. The article focuses mostly on Ryder-Waite and should so state, as so many other Tarot decks use different iconography. I put in a few fact tags where this problem is most apparent (borrowing from others' writings or making claims that would be opinion if in fact the editor hadn't read them elsewhere). I'm going to try and find a more appropriate tag for this - copyediting is done, it needs citations.Levalley (talk) 18:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is a book created by an author who research's religion and was published by a reliable company. The book covers the history of Tarot, information on all major arcana cards, and cultural influences on Tarot. Sullivan, Anne; Eladhari, Mirjam Palosaari; Cook, Michael (2018-08-07). "Tarot-based narrative generation". Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on the Foundations of Digital Games. FDG '18. This is a research article published by Association for Computing Machinery, so it should be a reliable source. The article covers meanings of certain Tarot cards and some history of Tarot, but mainly discusses how they used Tarot cards to create their online game.
