Are there multiple cuts or was I just not paying attention and did Walter Koenig actually make a brief cameo at some point? (I remember Jeri Ryan but she was only very briefly in it too.) -- 109.76.238.157 (talk) 02:50, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see IMDB lists a longer cast. I think a line break after the 7 main cast might be a good idea. It seems strange not to list John de Lancie even if he only appeared in footage from the television series, he had his few second and said as much as actors who are credited from convention footage. -- 109.76.238.157 (talk) 02:53, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just watched it, I did spot Jeri Ryan, but couldn't find Walter Koenig while 'just watching', although I might have just not recognized him. I don't think everyone who was in footage should be included in the list and here's why;

I learned about this film and then looked it up here, saw the cast list and thought "Why the F is Jeri Ryan in there?" She seemed so out of place to me. After watching it I came across the list again and realized how much the feature ISNT about anyone else except the captains.

Providing a 'full' cast listing in this short an article would only give people the wrong impression about it. Like it's going to be a clip show or massive bunch of short superficial interviews and that would be a great disservice both to the film and people who might be influenced to not watch it.

I'm going to separate the 'main' cast from the rest of the list and try to add a brief description that won't seem too forced.

[edit] I think I did okay. I noticed I missed seeing more people than I thought; John deLancie and Grace Lee Whitney. I can't confirm if they were actually IN it or just in footage, so I left them in for now. I vote to not add to (and if needed, remove from) the cast list anyone who didn't make an actual appearance. The source for the claim that Nimoy stopped speaking to Shatner because of this film[edit]

The "Reception" part claims that:

"Prior to the filming of the documentary, Shatner asked his former co-star and friend Leonard Nimoy to appear, but Nimoy declined. Believing that he was humouring him, Shatner filmed and included footage of Nimoy at a Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas, without Nimoy's permission. As a result, Nimoy never spoke to Shatner again"

The source is The Daily Mail, which is not only a tabloid, but one that seems exceptionally dishonest even by British standards. Is this corroborated by any source that could actually be considered credible?
