Thais Is Thai[edit]

The English name as 'Thais Is Thai' is obvious nonsense. I know that it is the official translation chosen by the party. But even Thai party officials can make mistakes when using English. Firstly 'ไท' without the letter 'ย' (yor yak) means 'free' and not 'Thai'. It has the some sound and so it is a pun in Thai which you cannot translate. But with this spelling, it has to be translated as 'free'. And secondly 'Thais is Thai' is a blunt mutilation of English grammar. It could be 'Thais ARE Thai', which of course still makes no sense. Therefore, I propose to use the Thai name: Thai Pen Thai, as the article's title. This is also used by the English-language newspapers Bangkok Post and The Nation. -- RJFF (talk) 13:22, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
