CAS Number[edit]
The CAS Number for tetrathionate is 15536-54-6. I looked at adding it to the tetrathionate page, but the page does not appear to have the typical Chembox that is described in the documentation and I don't see how to add the CAS Number to the box that already exists on the tetrathionate page. CAS Numbers are assigned for most anions, but I don't see Wikipedia displaying them for any of the anions that I checked, so perhaps displaying CAS Numbers for anions is counter to some sort of policy? Otherwise, if there's an editor out there who knows how to add it or can direct me to an example that I can follow, please do so. Ken the chemist (talk) 19:40, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently, there an infobox in development specifically for ions, as they do not fall within Wikipedia's definition for chemicals. As I was told by Rifleman 82. So feel free to add the CAS number to the article space. Plasmic Physics (talk) 22:45, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Formal charges[edit]
Wouldn't it be more accurate to show all the oxygen atoms as having a minus charge and the sulfur atoms to which they are connected with +2 charge? Eric Kvaalen (talk) 13:07, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
