Epidermis[edit]

"There is evidence that mammalian epidermis cells are shaped like flattened tetrakaidecahedra..."

Um, just evidence? Now that we have things like microscopes and electron-microscopes have we never LOOKED at mammalian epidermal cells to find out one way or the other?
