What's the correct naming?[edit]

The "Telephone numbers in Asia" navigation box refers to Telephone numbers in Nagorno-Karabakh

The "Telephone numbers in Europe" navigation box refers to Telephone numbers in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic

I think the European one is correct. It's listed as "States with limited recognition" and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is the state, while Nagorno-Karabakh is simply the region. Jenks24 (talk) 10:59, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I assumed they were two different names for the same thing. Which one is preferred? Are they interchangeable? While both {{Europe topic}} and {{Telephone numbers in Europe}} work for Europe, I see that {{Telephone numbers in Africa}} {{Telephone numbers in Oceania}} {{Telephone numbers in North America}} {{Telephone numbers in South America}} and {{Telephone numbers in the Americas}} do not work. Hmm, yes they do appear to be exactly the same, so I guess they are interchangeable. I guess that {{Telephone numbers in Asia}} was created incase there was some reason that telephone numbers needed to be more flexible than simply using {{Asia topic}}. I agree there is no consistency, so I'd suggest using whichever template you prefer. Regarding Nagorno-Karabakh vs Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, I'll leave a request at Template talk:Asia topic that Nagorno-Karabakh be changed to Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Ugh, scratch that, I didn't look properly. The templates are exactly the same because {{Telephone numbers in Asia}} uses {{Asia topic}}. Seems to me that the former template is pretty pointless, but it doesn't really matter which is used. Jenks24 (talk) 14:37, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
