Requested move[edit]

Propose that the article be moved per the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (comics) guideline, to fall in line with all the others using (comics).

Anyone have strong feelings and good reason why not? MURGH disc. 00:57, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

* This proposed move will NOT be noted at Wikipedia:Requested moves until a consensus develops, or the proposal is met with opposition.

Seems reasonable. As the creator of this article, I have no objection to the renaming/move. BPK 05:45, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I'll get it done then. MURGH disc. 10:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Low importance[edit]

Considering that Tarzan is one of the best known characters in the world of fiction, and that there have been many hundreds of Tarzan comic books published over the past seventy years, and that artists considered among the greatest in all of comicdom, such as Hal Foster, Russ Manning, and Joe Kubert, have drawn Tarzan, would someone please explain to me why as a comic character, Tarzan is of "LOW" importance. Is it just because he doesn't wear tights? By way of contrast, Henry Pym, one of the most minor of Marvel Silver Age Superheroes, is rated of HIGH importance.Rick Norwood (talk) 20:29, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tarzan Comics[edit]

To United Features Syndicate

How DARE YOU leave out Illustrator/Cartoonist Gray Morrow's name from the Tarzan strip history ! He was the best artist you had along with his friend and writer Don Kraar. He did the strip for 18 years, longer than any other artist for Tarzan. It will be 7 years since his passed away and I hope finally give him some recognition for his hard work!!

Thank you I hope,

[edit]

About 1970 at one of the first comic conventions in the UK, Frank Westwood, an ardent Tarzan fan who worked closely with the people who owned the copyright of Tarzan said he persuaded them to produce a standard Tarzan logo since previously the name of Tarzan had appeared in many different designs on and in comics.(88.17.96.130 (talk) 20:33, 17 June 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Spanish production?[edit]

Tarzan comics were also produced in Spain in the late 1970s or early 1980s maybe? Anybody care to add more to this? WimbledonGreen (talk) 03:53, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
