Notability[edit]

I have experience with Synctool, Cfengine and Puppet, and my humble opinion is that if Cfengine and Puppet have their own article, Synctool should have it too. Its user base may not be as large yet as the others, but there are some notable implementations: it is used to administer the Dutch national supercomputer Cartesius, the fastest supercomputer in the Netherlands. Also the SURFsara grid storage cluster is administered with Synctool, providing many petabytes of storage to scientific projects like LOFAR and CERN's Large Hadron Collider. If that is not notable enough, I'd like to know what is.

Apart from that, there seems to be the impression that this article is written like an advertisement. Adding the above examples of implementations may not take away that impression but instead increase it. Would you please specify what parts of the article make that impression, so that I can improve it? -- Onno Zweers (talk) 21:11, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, you should not be looking at other articles, this article on itself should have the merit of an article. At the moment, it is unreferenced, and I wonder whether it should not just be deleted as not being notable. Please provide independent references showing its notability. --Dirk Beetstra T C 03:22, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
