Unusually, the menuet is through-composed, which means the option of dropping the repeats after the trio is not available. I'm not aware of another such menuet among the mature haydn symphonies, which probably means a dozen examples will immediately leap out of the woodwork. Be that as it may, shouldn't this be mentioned in any account of No 97?Delahays (talk) 22:13, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
