Copyediting[edit]

I just copyedited to (mostly) fix the numerous spelling, grammatical, and style issues. (The previous version was a single, massive run-on sentence.) However, some of it was incoherent enough that I couldn't really understand it, so I may have accidentally introduced a few factual errors or changed the meaning of something. Time scale?[edit]

What’s the time frame, here? The Differences section says "In the film, Anton tells Patty that his mother died when she was visiting Dresden", and links to the bombing of that city. That happened in February 1945, and the war with Germany ended in the May, so that gives only a few weeks for the action to take place. In fact, if she didn’t live there, how would he even know, in the time available? Or did the film-maker just throw in the bombing of Dresden to emphasize the whole ‘good German, bad American’ theme the article suggests? Swanny18 (talk) 15:56, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
