To be translated: Mao Untold story

为了使城市里的人规规矩矩,毛搞了个运动叫“肃反”。一千四百三十万国家工作人员受到“审查”,方式是“坦白检举”,既有精神恐吓的公审大会,也有肉体折 磨的所谓逼、供、信。办公室、住宅楼、礼堂、书斋都成了关人的地方。毛说暗藏的反革命分子占受审查人的大约百分之五左右,下指示说超过比例须得到批准。也 就是说在这场运动中,至少有七十一万五千人被打成反革命。

Please change name of this wiki entry[edit]

The pinyin transcription of the pronunciation of the two characters should not be "Shu fan" but "Sufan". Could somebody authorized and able to make such changes rewrite the title of the entry and wiki page [including where it shows up on the page "list of political campaigns of the Chinese Communist Party"] to read the Sufan movement instead, please!Villa Giulia (talk) 16:18, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with your assessment. I will submit this for change presently. Homunculus (duihua) 13:03, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

mass cleanup needed[edit]

I just went through citations 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 17. as per the 27.09.21 version.

cit. 6 does not corroborate, maybe it does on page two but that version isnt in the internet archive. cit. 7 does not corroborate. cit. 8 is a polemical media article without any scholarly grounding. it shouldn't be here. cit. 9 does not corroborate. cit. 10 is in contrast a more serious source, but doesn't corroborate on the claims in this wiki article. also, the material it cites is inaccessible. cit. 17 is also a polemical article without any scholarly grounding.

hope someone can clarify what is going on here, thank you.

I've cleaned up the sources. Some of the sources do support the statements in the article, and I explicitly put the supporting sentences in the "Quote" of these citations. Other sources have been removed or modified. SCreditC (talk) 21:24, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
