Helping out[edit]

I'm taking on this page as a bit of a pet project, it seems to be subject to a lot of vandalism, not so much so that it needs to be locked, but it needs someone to keep tabs on it. Any suggestions as to how to improve it? Haem0nculus (talk) 20:54, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of Citations[edit]

I have no idea where previous editors found all the information posted. My searches (barring going to the Goulbourn Museum itself) have proved fruitless in corroborating the vast majority of claims. Haem0nculus (talk) 21:27, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is a good source for the discussion of the Great Carleton County Fire of 1870 at https://www.toronto.com/news-story/4078064-carleton-county-fire-of-1870/, but it does not mention the specific size of the fire. It does mention areas that were impacted by the fire.Gourken (talk) 03:11, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Services[edit]

Many services seem to be skimmed over, while small entities are looked at in too much depth (e.g. Stittsville Elementary looked at in too much detail, and its the only primary school listed). Haem0nculus (talk) 21:27, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of "neighbourhoods"[edit]

Is each of these "neighbourhoods" worthy of an article? I've never been there and don't know. But given that this place is described as a "suburban community" with an area of under 8 sq km and a population of under 35 thousand, I find it hard to imagine. -- Hoary (talk) 22:23, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If enough sources can be cobbled together, then yes. Neighbourhoods are notable. I'm not necessarily opposed to removing the redlinks (well, I would be, but I wouldn't put up a fuss over it), though, but I do think they deserve mention.02:06, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

As my course assignment is wrapping up, my contributions to this page will be slowing/ending soon. I hope to occasionally continue improving the page, however this may be it from me for a while.

I am making this note to say that the page is not finished, nor a complete representation of the community; I have focused on adding the most reliable and available information about the community. When my assignment has officially finished, I will update here which sections I feel could use the most additions; I'm hoping someone else will come along soon to continue improving the page.
