Support per nomination. Apparently, the German, Spanish, Dutch and Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedias took their cues regarding the accent mark from the English Wikipedia, rather than from the French. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 22:46, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Support – I noticed that the avenue named after him has an article on French WP called Avenue Stéphen-Pichon, but I find that people with addresses in the avenue do not add an accent. LynwoodF (talk) 14:04, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Support. It's unusual in French for the anglicized form "Stephen" to be used at all (the more usual forms in French are Étienne or Stéphane), so we can't just presume that a French "Stephen" has an accent in his name — we have to look at what the sources actually say about whether there's an accent in it or not, and the most definitive sources here say there isn't.
