Stephen K. BenjaminSteve Benjamin Steve BenjaminSteve Benjamin (disambiguation)

– While his legal name is Stephen K. Benjamin, he is known as Steve. An example of this is his campaign website- www.stevebenjamin.com --Relisted. Steel1943 (talk) 08:53, 4 November 2013 (UTC) ProudGamecock (talk) 20:42, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Malformed multimove warning: Excuse me, but there is already an article at Steve Benjamin. What do you suggest to do with that one? —BarrelProof (talk) 03:22, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can't there be two Steve Benjamins? This is done in other cases with the same name. ProudGamecock (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:34, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There cannot be two pages named exactly "Steve Benjamin" — it's almost like having two files with the same filename. The guideline on how to handle this naming for biography articles is at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people)#Disambiguating. For example, if both people here are very widely known only as "Steve", then we could have "Steve Benjaman (politician)" and the other "Steve Benjamin (sailor)". (If one was overwhelmingly better-known, to the point where it was unlikely anyone was looking for the other one, then one could go without the qualifier, but I don't think that's the case here, since one is an Olympic silver medalist and one is a city mayor.) Maybe we should move each person to those titles instead. --Closeapple (talk) 20:43, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've created a disambiguation page at Steve Benjamin. Neither the athlete nor the politician are a primary topic for a worldwide audience, so the best approach is to ask the reader searching this name which one is who they're looking for. Diego (talk) 12:35, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • That seems adequate. I see no need for further action. —BarrelProof (talk) 11:11, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Start date for role in Biden Administration[edit]

Information added today says Benjamin starts his new role in Biden Administration today, on Feb 27.

But there are conflicting time dates presented in the news:

Here is a news item that says the new role starts in March:

Here is another news item that says March

I saw one earlier that said April, but cannot find it now.

In any case, Keisha Lance Bottoms appears to still be in the role at least until March. ProfessorKaiFlai (talk) 02:13, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
