Merger proposal[edit]

I propose Star Death be merged into stellar evolution, because its "death" (if such can be clearly defined) is clearly a part of its evolution, and is also already described in stellar evolution. EmilTyf (talk) 00:39, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No-brainer. Get rid of this pointless stub. If anything from here hasn't already been said elsewhere, then by all means include it, but I don't see anything new. Lithopsian (talk) 12:28, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Lithopsian. This article covers so much more, so the other has no point. Carbon6 05:08, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Support. Insufficient extra information at this stage. It is covered, it seems to me, in more detail under Stellar remnants. Shadow007 (talk) 06:59, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree and redirected. The only content that was in this article (last revision) that isn't in stellar evolution is the bit about magnetars being precursors for super-luminous supernovae. But that is more relevant in the magnetar article (which also covers it), since that type of death represents a miniscule fraction of the star deaths. —Alex (ASHill | talk | contribs) 08:13, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
