Untitled[edit]

I just put "sugar" into the album list in the stub. Now I see that the album actually records itself as both sugar and Sugar, oops. Anyway, I don't have a Wikipedia account, and don't have time to create one now, but here are what details I can offer that seemed inappropriate for the album list. Full credits are Stanley Turrentine (tenor saxophone), Billy Kaye (drums), Butch Cornell (organ), Lonnie L. Smith, Jr. (electric piano), George Benson (guitar), Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Ron Carter (bass), and Richard "Pablo" Landrum (conga). Tracks: Side 1, "Sugar" (10:00) by Turrentine and "Sunshine Alley" (11:00) by Cornell. Side 2, "Impressions" (15:30) by John Coltrane. There's a puff review by Ira Gitler on the inner left fold of the album jacket (as appears to have been typical for 1970s albums, the jacket is a double album jacket with the left side sealed empty; in this case, most of the space thus obtained is devoted to pictures, so the above really is all the written info I can offer!). That puff review, by the way, is the only place where "Sugar" with a capital S actually appears.

I haven't listened to the record in years and don't have much faith in my judgement of jazz anyway, so can offer no subjective critique or opinion.
