World record[edit]

Well, more properly best performance, as the IAAF does not recognize the event. Arne Tvervåg of Norway jumped 3.71 m (12 ft 2 in) on November 11, 1968 in Noresund, Norway. See "Lengde u/tilløp" on this Norwegian athletics records page. The women's record is 2.92 m (9 ft 7 in) set by Annelin Mannes of Norway on Marc 7, 1981 in Flisa, Norway. New unofficial world record?[edit]

Apprently, someone called Darius Clark who jumped 3.96 metres and beat the old unofficial standing long jump world record by 0.23 metres.
