The Cave[edit]

I presume the cave is closed off by some sort of locked gate or doorway? Is it possible for visitors to see the exterior of this gate? Has the key that unlocks this gate been lost, or is it held by the Diocese of Clogher? 75.163.217.66 (talk) 05:06, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What did the pilgrims do?[edit]

Purgatory comes from purging your "sins", so was it based based on self-inflicted pain, discomfort, praying, flagellation, or all of these? The article doesn't mention this all important aspect.78.16.42.18 (talk) 18:08, 19 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be confused with...[edit]

Who mistakes the work station for staten? Colbarr (talk) 11:59, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think this may be someone's idea of a joke? I can't find any references to this anywhere; it could be a joke about Staten Island's high and aging Irish population (?) Jl sg (talk) 16:37, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, probably bc "Station Island" redirects here; easier to confuse with Staten Island. Jl sg (talk) 11:24, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

1632[edit]

There are several references to events in 1632. What happened then, and why ? -- Beardo (talk) 10:58, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
