Name[edit]

I wonder if a non-Albanian speaking person can understand that this article is about a church. A move is obviously needed to a more English title (e.g. Church of St....).Alexikoua (talk) 12:12, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shënepremte Church would be ok with you? I insist that it be called Shenepremte, because as of now we don't know which Saint Paraskevi each of the churches that I dabbed in Kisha e Shën Premtes is voted to. --Sulmues (talk) 18:10, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What is the English equivalent of Shenepremte? Suppose Shen means Saint. We should possible check if there is any bibliography on this (would be better if its in English and of course for consistency with church related articles).Alexikoua (talk) 18:18, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Every church is different from the other: some may have some English sources, some not. For now I am inclined to move only the word "Kisha" to "Church" because if I translate Saint Premte, that generates even more controversy. --Sulmues (talk) 18:32, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's why we have the toponym (here Selcke), but depends how (English) bibliography mentions these churches.Alexikoua (talk) 18:48, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What do you suggest? --Sulmues (talk) 18:55, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If there isn't bibliography in English I believe we can keep 'Curch of Shën Premtes', but if there is we can adopt the name mostly mentioned there. The official site of the Orthodox Church of Albania is a usefull tool [[1]].Alexikoua (talk) 19:19, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Shën Premte Church is what I would do. As soon as we have English sources, we move to the English names. I doubt it though. Besides Byron, Leake and Durham few English speakers ever saw Albania before the 20th century. Shakespeare only imagined it as if it were close to the moon. Go find those sources with the exception of Elsie. On the other hand Pearson and Malcolm weren't certainly interested in churches. --Sulmues (talk) 19:28, 24 September 2010 (UTC)  Done --Sulmues (talk) 19:41, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
