TOURIST TRAFFIC TRAP[edit]

This town is so money hungry that they have the freeway you travel go through the town and if you are not from this area you do not think that the freeway speeds will go from 75 miles per hour to 35. They do this just to collect money from unsuspecting tourists. We traveled this way to come home from a family reunion and let me tell you we will never ever travel anywhere in colorado even if our lives depended on it. Driving on our way home the freeway starts to go through town you see the speed limit sign reduce speed to 55 then like no more than a block reduce speed 45 and if you are from Utah and main street speed is 45 you dont think oh there is going to be another speed reduce sign to 35. So you travel what you think is the speed limit and then lights, oh yeah you get pulled over doing 10 over the speed limit. I thought oh my god and of course apologized and explained I thought I was going the speed limit. The cop doesnt care one bit and writes the ticket. And to add ontop of everything they do not allow video court or phone court so unless you can afford to drive all the way back to this town which you never want to go back to you have to pay the ticket and suck it up because you cant defend yourself unless you can be there... So I was able to make payment arrangements to pay this ticket because I could not defend myself. Of course I had a family emergency and didn't take care of the first payment timely but come to find out only a week after my payment should have been made they sent a suspend my license request to utah and now unless I can pay the ticket in full plus more penalties my license will stay suspended until I can pay it in full but here is the great thing how do I get to work to make the money for the ticket if I cant DRIVE TO WORK??????? Well this town does not care all they want is MONEY!!!!! Ohh yes also we were driving and come to a road that says toll road but it says the toll booths are closed so you think ok they are for rush hour ohhh no couple weeks after you get home you get a wonderful bill from driving on a closed toll road!!!! Can I say this from the deepest part of my heart COLORADO SUCKS!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.195.229.99 (talk) 18:08, 8 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

F4 tornado tracked from OK where damage was between $50K and 500K[edit]

I just added that the F4 tornado tracked from Oklahoma where damage was between 50,000 and 500,000 dollars. Damage in Colorado was between 500,000 and 5 million dollars. This was Colorado's only known F4 tornado.--Kevjgav (talk) 14:22, 22 April 2014 (UTC) Actually damage in Oklahoma from the May 18, 1977 F4 tornado was between 5,000 and 50,000 dollars. It tracked longer through OK but did more damage in CO.--Kevjgav (talk) 18:30, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Springfield tornado first F4 in CO since 8-10-24[edit]

I read in some website that the Springfield tornado was the first F4 in Colorado since the one that killed 10 people in Thurman but I can't find the site. If someone could help me find a reliable source saying that the Springfield tornado was the first F4 in Colorado since August 10, 1924 I would appreciate that. I had to add the "citation needed" tag, which I don't like nor do I like deleting an article's content. If someone finds a source to verify this, insert the reference where it needs to be. I'll be watching this page for updates.--Kevjgav (talk) 13:57, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
