Requested move[edit]

There are two articles about this ship. I propose that this article be moved to and merged with the article at Spanish ship Santísima Trinidad. Although this article is older, arguably better written and in better Wiki style, Santísima is the correct spelling, so the two articles should be consolidated onto that page, with this Santissma page as a simple redirect. Both pages have histories, so I don't want to do a cut-and-paste move and histories can only be moved by an administrator.

I propose this move for the reasons above. JimmyTheOne 11:48, 26 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but I thought WP:Merge is for just these cases. What we have here are two articles that will have to be manually merged in any event, regardless of histories. The manual merge process leaves a link in each edit history and a redirect from one to the other so history is preserved, though as two articles, which is true, rather than one, which is not. They're virtually identical, just merge. The Gwai Lo 02:17, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Let's do a merge then. I just didn't want offend anyone by doing a manual merger that left history on the wrong page. I'll do it in a couple of days if nobody objects to that. JimmyTheOne 21:21, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • No worries. I'd recommend you go ahead and do it whenever you're ready. Tedernst | Talk 22:17, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
