Merge SSC into SMC to later move SMC to SSC[edit]

It was announced that SMC will become SSC, meaning that the two are going to be the same organization. I've moved over the pertinent details to the SMC article. Propose merging SSC article into SMC so that when the renaming happens we can easily move SMC to SSC (like we normally do when a name change happens with military organizations). Endorsed. Current SSC page should be reduced to a redirect in time. Will require admin assistance when the two pages transit through the same name. Buckshot06 (talk) 09:29, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Garuda28 we now have an SSC organization chart at https://www.spaceforce.mil/News/Article/2565803/space-systems-command-geared-to-deliver-swift-responsive-space-capabilities/. Do you know how to import that chart into Wikipedia? It's PD-USGOV so there are no copyright concerns. Buckshot06 (talk) 06:23, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Buckshot06 Not Garuda but it's done. I uploaded it just now. SuperWIKI (talk) 06:36, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks SuperWIKI!! Many thanks!! Now Lineagegeek has had a huge job renaming all USAF files to readable names. Can you please move/rename the file so it includes the full words "Space Systems Command?" Buckshot06 (talk) 06:39, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Historical logos[edit]

@Lineagegeek: Got a ton of former SSC logos here starting on pg 83. Do you have any way to extract them/know where to get larger ones? https://www.losangeles.spaceforce.mil/Portals/16/documents/AFD-120802-071.pdf?ver=2016-05-02-112851-807 Garuda28 (talk) 05:51, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm kind of old fashioned, using a Dell desktop running Windows 10. You can take a screen shot by pressing Ctl-Print Screen. You can then paste the screen shot into a graphics program I use Microsoft Paint) and do whatever cropping or other editing you want. Most of the emblems are fairly small, but I found decent resolution magnifying them to 250%. Depending on what version of Adobe Acrobat you have, you may also be able to highlight the image in the .pdf then copy it to a graphics program. --Lineagegeek (talk) 21:24, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Garuda28, they are all on Commons now. --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:44, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
