Counterpoint to the pro-deletion tag[edit]

I object to the proposed deletion of this article for the following reasons:

1. The museum is notable in its own context; it represents the honors of an entire state for all of its amateur baseball players and some of its professionals.

2. The museum advertises in several paper publications, is noted in South Dakota travel guides, sponsors amateur baseball functions, and is noted in roadsigns on Interstate 29 in South Dakota. If WP is to be credibly encyclopedic, it must provide information even on subjects that aren't prominent on the internet.

3. The article now contains links to several other WP articles, and when I'm done researching it will in turn be referenced by many other WP articles.

4. The dearth of google hits is partle attributable to its location in a sparsely populated area with little tech infrastructure. The museum's management isn't tech savvy. As such the deletion of this article would strengthen the cycle of internet non-participation. Basically I think it would discriminate against people in rural areas and small towns.
