Suggested changes[edit]

Infobox[edit]

No issues found.

Lead[edit]

  • Which reviewers specifically found it an improvement over the Adventure games? Are the few that did really a consensus broad enough to be included in the lead?

Gameplay[edit]

Location Quote Error Notes
Para. 1, lines 5 & 6 ... While the Sonic Adventure games for the Dreamcast featured ... Relations to article topic unknown to reader Should read that the Adventure games are the predecessors
Para. 3, line 2 ... levels, on the other hand, are ... Word choice Would "alternatively" or something of the like read better here?
Para. 3, line 3 ... can perform homing attacks and light dashes, and ... Video game-exclusive jargon What is a homing attack? light dash? Reader is foreign to these concepts

Plot[edit]

Location Quote Error Notes
Para. 2, line 6 ... run off in anticipation of their next adventure. Unsourced Does it specifically say this in the plot sequence?

Development[edit]

No issues found. Factual basis confirmed.

Reception[edit]

Location Quote Error Notes
Para. 1, line 3 ... noted clipping, graphic ... Video game-exclusive jargon Is "clipping through objects" or something better here?
Para. 2, line 3 ... effects. Though Ryan ... Poor word choice "Though Ryan" → "Although, Ryan"
Para. 2, lines 5 & 6 ... aesthetics. He joked it was so colorful, "it even stands out on my GameCube shelf". In ... Unnecessary clarification Is this really necessary? Doesn't add much to the section overall.
Para. 2, line 7 ... Highway. Though he ... Poor word choice "Highway. Though he" → "Highway. Although, he"
Para. 2, line 7 ... found the music ... Confusing wording He praised the music but he also found it laughable?
Para. 3, line 6 ... game's casino level ... Lack of information Clarify name? "game's casino level, Casino Park"?
Para. 4, line 1 ... the team-up concept. Fischer ... Confusing wording First time "team-up concept" has been used. Would "team-up concept present in the gameplay of Sonic Heroes be better?

Legacy[edit]

Location Quote Error Notes
Missing information Seaside Hill also makes name and likeness appearances in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. These should be required for Legacy. Also, the likeness of Seaside Hill also appears in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, but not its name ("Ocean View").

Final opinion[edit]

I will put the GAN on hold until the minor issues presented are fixed or proved otherwise. The hold time is specifically 7 days. If all issues are fixed within seven days, then Sonic Heroes will become a good article . If not, then the article will fail the GAN and will be able to be re-nominated at a later date. If there are any disputes with suggested changes, please write them in the Post-review comments section and we can discuss them and possibly make the GAN open to required second opinion . This 7-day period also acts as a period of time for anyone unbiased to add their own review in the comments.

Responses[edit]

Thanks for reviewing again, P*h3i! Just a few responses:

  1. I've reworded the part in the lead about it being an improvement over Sonic Adventure. Most reviewers did say that (someone disputed saying "most", though, so I had to change it), so I think it's important enough.
  2. At the end, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles start running away and Sonic explicitly states "Alright! Our next adventure awaits us so there's no time to waste!" Plot sections are typically assumed to be sourced to the game itself, so it doesn't need a source.
  3. I've added a link to clipping (computer graphics), so if someone doesn't know what "clipping" is they can just click on the link.

Otherwise I've implemented all of your suggestions (or made edits based on them). JOEBRO64 12:02, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
