Isn't SOBERANA 01 just another vaccine?[edit]

BeŻet, hi. From my research, SOBERANA 01 is still a thing, isn't it? It just so happens that trials of SOBERANA 02 are more advanced. Let me know if I'm wrong. User:Tetizeraz. Send me a ✉️ ! 00:10, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tetizeraz: That's correct - the article just states that SOBERANA 02 followed SOBERANA 01. We can probably create a separate article for SOBERANA 01, but I don't think there's much to talk about. BeŻet (talk) 17:28, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Phase 3[edit]

I believe Soberana 2 started on a clinical trial in Phase III this month. sourced sourced 136.158.32.23 (talk) 05:43, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Should this article be renamed to its most popular name?[edit]

This vaccine is most known as SOBERANA 02. Even the journalistic sources mention the vaccine only as SOBERANA 02. The only mention of the vaccine as FINLAY-FR-2 is in official documents such as the WHO document. User:Tetizeraz. Send me a ✉️ ! 21:05, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For reference, the Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has the international nonproprietary name tozinameran, but the article still uses the most commonly known name of the vaccine, which is the name of the two main companies involved in the production of the vaccine. Unknown quality source for storage temperature[edit]

Article seems to lack reference for storage temp. This unknown article gives storage temp of 2-8C. Unsure about reputability.

Whasington Post made a article and confirmed the information. They said that it can be stored as high as 46.4 degrees which is 8Celsius --2601:681:5280:3a40:d013:648c:67f2:d8c4 (talk) 20:11, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Even if the first source may be correct, The Washington Post is considered more reliable (WP:RSP), so it is a safer choice. --Fernando Trebien (talk) 19:59, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not confuse Cuba Vaccine and Soberana 2[edit]

A lot of newspapers would use the term "cuban vaccines" be sure to know wheter it's one of the three Phase I or II vaccines developped, or the other phase III vaccine, Abdala. There is a lot of false info on production/deliveries section.

Soberana family confusion (Soberana 01 vs 02 vs Plus)[edit]

Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus are not the same.[1] (translation). So far, Iran only gave authorization to Soberana 02 and not to Soberana Plus.

I added in the article a summary of Soberana family clinical trials. Based on that, I would say that:

  • Soberana 02 is FINLAY-FR-2. 123
  • Soberana Plus is FINLAY-FR-1A. 4
  • There is also an older FINLAY-FR-1. 5
  • Soberana Pediatrica is studied on subjects 3-18 years old. 6 It's same as Soberana 02 with Soberana Plus as booster dose. Maybe it's lower dose, I do not know.

Soberana Plus (FINLAY-FR-1A) is:

  • either given as a booster dose for Soberana 02. 7
  • either given as a complete single-dose vaccine. 8 9

FINLAY-FR-1 doesn't seem to be used anymore.

If you think I'm correct or wrong, please say it. Hosortyr (talk) 17:09, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

link to Farsi version[edit]

They're seems to be two different articles in the Farsi Wikipedia, and i'm not sure if the one linked in the language bat is the most suitable? Possibly the two articles in Farsi fa:سوبرانا ۰۲ and fa:پاستوکووک should be merged? Irtapil (talk) 20:47, 15 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Irtapil: They are both the same vaccine but with different naming based on the country where it is produced. I would say they should merge, but it is up to Farsi Wikipedia contributors to decide. Hosortyr (talk) 17:25, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Hosortyr: if you know enough Farsi maybe do a merge suggest? Irtapil (talk) 07:51, 13 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can see someone already placed a merge template :) Hosortyr (talk) 12:32, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
