Nickname[edit]

I might be wrong, but I just watched this movie the other day and I heard that one of the characters was called (or given the nickname) of "Snake Eater". Is that true?.

Now you see where Hideo Kojima gets it's ideas for the Metal Gear saga. --Zephir 16:32, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Famous for its absurdity[edit]

This movie is very famous in Eastern Europe, as one of the most absurd movies. It is full of bloopers but most outstanding is african-american spy story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.17.162.3 (talk) 17:23, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shooting[edit]

The article says Sniper 2 is a film shot in Hungary on November 18, 2002... That seems to mean it was shot in one day. That seems very short for an action movie. RJFJR 16:32, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The movie is completely stupid. Serbs don't even speak serbian, they speak some made-up language. Serbian cars have italian or hungarian licance plates (!?!), and that serbian unit from the movie is actualy, in real life, a croatian military unit.

They should have done at least some research... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.200.34.168 (talk) 13:24:33, August 19, 2007 (UTC)

This is nothing comparing to the fact that CIA sends BLACK guy to Serbia as undercover agent!!!!! How incredibly stupid should creators of this movie be?! Unbelievable.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.154.63.92 (talk) 08:29, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely Idiotic/Failed anti-serb propaganda[edit]

Seen the movie, if it could be called that. Again the Serbians are the bad guys, but they couldn't even get the language right, nor uniforms, nor anything really. Poor made propaganda which again portrays Serbs as the bad guys in an outdated moronic hollywood type action film. The original Sniper film with Beringer and Zane was excellent. It had suspense and great action scenes. This is garbage. I do not understand who would give $5 million dollars which was reported budget to make this kind of failure? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.213.94.73 (talk) 08:41, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I Agree[edit]

I didn't know that Serbs speak Hungarian (!?), also i didn't know that Križevci are in either Serbia or Hungary, and certianly not close to any border. I deleted the peace of text that referred Serbia as place that film's story is going on in, because, although Serbs are explicitly mentioned in the film, other things (like language, place names etc. ) don't match that claim, so it would be more logical to assume that they got name of the people (i.e. Serbs) wrong, then everything else, and that they actually wanted to say Hungarians , which sounds equally stupid and untrue. ~~AltGre~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.222.184.129 (talk) 23:49, 24 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You have to admit, it's funny that the movie makers knew Americans were too provincial to recognize Hungarian, so didn't even bother to attempt to speak Serbian. Or change the license plates. 92.176.171.43 (talk) 22:19, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
