Screencast vs Screenshot[edit]

There is a strong difference between 'screencasts' (which are videos of users' actions) and 'screenshots' (which are still images). I believe, software tools are usually either for screenshots or for screencasts, but not for both. SnagIt is a screenshot tool. But I can't change it on Snagit page, because I think it first should be fixed on Comparison of screencasting software page. Yermishkina (talk) 14:42, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the above sentiment. It seems misclassified. --Thx1200 (talk) 12:51, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I made the correction both here and on the screencasting comparison and list pages.--HarryHenryGebel (talk) 05:57, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Snagit is actually also a screencasting software just as Jing and Jing Pro as all of them can create videos. Consider to revert the last action. --Jimmy Bergmark (talk) 08:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Although Snagit has screen recording functionality, there is no video editing or narration possible.Malcolmgillis (talk) 08:26, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mac Criticism[edit]

This criticism doesn't seem noteworthy. There are a lot of platform-specific pieces of software with no plans to be ported to another platform. --Thx1200 (talk) 12:51, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advertisement?[edit]

This article sounds like an advertisement. I think it should be re-written. Additionally, I'm not sure it really meets notability guidelines, despite a "CNET Review." The same can be said for thousands of pieces of software, notable or not. --Thx1200 (talk) 12:51, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The review part of the article points to a questionable review.Malcolmgillis (talk) 08:20, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re-insertion of links[edit]

Useful external sites has been removed. They should be re-instated.Malcolmgillis (talk) 08:20, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

we generally avoid spammed links, spam is removed when discovered, and spammers are usually blocked. FYI. --Ckatzchatspy 08:17, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please also avoid deleting other users' talk page comments. --Ckatzchatspy 09:00, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have not deleted any other users' talk pages. I have just edited my own before I understood how to edit the talk page correctly. Please do not criticize if you don't know what has been done. There is a difference between spam and useful external links. Maybe you are a bit too stringent in your quest against spammers. Malcolmgillis (talk) 08:44, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect re-direction[edit]

The page is redirected to SnagIt from Snagit, but the software publisher, TechSmith changed the name of the software from SnagIt to Snagit in 2009, thus it is incorrect.Malcolmgillis (talk) 08:23, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Latest stable release[edit]

Incorrect language[edit]

The opening sections appear to be written in (possibly) Spanish rather than English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anottle (talkcontribs) 12:01, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Arabic[edit]

No offense, but what's a point for keeping an external link to a site written entirely in Arabic? What's so special in that site to link from English Wikipedia?
