Nickname[edit]

Is there a verifiable source for the team nickname change? Was it due to being less sexist? Or was it due to the obvious homophony with the U.S. English term for a member of the nativist terrorist group, the Ku Klux Klan, whose members are referred to as "Klansmen"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.201.204.249 (talk) 23:31, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Football main page[edit]

I recently migrated the information regarding football over to a new page just for football. Yet that was reverted. There should be a link to the football page and the information regarding football needs to be removed from this page and moved over there. Further, people need to chill out and not use the f-word just because information was migrated to a new page. rick lay95 (talk)

Look, sir, it's down-right impossible not to raise suspicion of vandalism when anyone (registered user or IP) erase a large chunk of contents without explaining that the contents were being migrated. As for the name change, here are some forum discussions from earlier days. Cédric SAYS NO to anti-diacritic crusades! 19:22, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

SFU AthleticsSimon Fraser University athletics – For clarity (SFU is not a widely recognizable acronym) and for consistency with the Manual of Style ("athletics" should not be capitalized as it is not part of a proper noun). This is also a naming scheme heavily used on Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata. IagoQnsi (talk) 16:43, 8 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
