Chess[edit]

How could Black favours the Ruy Lopez, which is an opening, not a defense, and hence decided by White, not Black? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.99.62.223 (talk) 17:43, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It may sound odd from a strictly logical point of view, but is usual among chess players. In tournament play White plays 2.Ng1-f3 and 3.Bf1-b5 in the overwhelming number of cases, and even more so on Grand Master level, while Black has a real choice between Ruy Lopez and other defences e.g. the Sicilian or Petroff's. It also reflects the linguistic problem that there is no established name for the "queen's knight response to the king's knight opening". Stupid girl (talk) 11:03, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Workplace[edit]

There are currently two workplaces mentioned for Agdestein (see both chess and football sections) - a sports academy and a school. Can someone who knows the situation please edit out any information that is outdated, or perhaps make it clearer if he in fact still works at both institutions. Presently, it just comes across as contradictory. Brittle heaven (talk) 13:20, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
