"Shuja'iyya WAS ..."[edit]

If citation is needed for this (That Shuja'iyya doesn't exist anymore), this might be a good source: https://www.instagram.com/p/C1GryyHCi3y/ I cannot put in this citation, because I don't have enough edits. --Koma Kulshan (talk) 10:12, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sajaiyeh[edit]

I don't understand this spelling, how does the "sh" sound become "s"? It looks like the common Israeli pronunciation, which I had always thought was incorrect.--158.222.143.13 (talk) 15:32, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article uses the "Shuja'iyya" spelling, but notes that there are alternative English spellings, including Sajaiyeh. --Al Ameer (talk) 18:45, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I understand that, but who uses Sajaiyeh? I always thought that it was nothing but an Israeli mispronunciation. Is this spelling in widespread usage? How did the "sh" become "s"?--158.222.143.13 (talk) 01:00, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
