Unique twists[edit]

"They are known for having several unique twists to their sound and their image. First, their two vocalists, Josh Dies and Ivory Mobley, trade off in dueling vocals which alternate between yelling, screaming, and singing." Ummm...Fugazi, Cursive? Teke 03:10, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Teke, the use of the word unique can also be used for rarer uses, for instance, a hardcore band with a keytar is unique, but not unheard of. IronCrow 00:43, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dead by Dawn Controversy[edit]

I added a story that does deal with the controversy. However, I think that there should be more sources on the section though, so if you can help out, I'd appreciate it. I think that I put the refrence link in the right spot, but I'm kind of new to editing. If it is in the wrong place, please move it. - Jpwojcik 01:24, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Tae Page...[edit]

Please help me edit the "Ivory Mobley" page... Because I created it, but don't have any idea how to do it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by CJtheSloth (talkcontribs) 14:27, 16 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Image - Fair Use[edit]

Image:ShowbreadAgeOfReptiles.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Genre[edit]

I can easily see how they are post-hardcore in "No, Sir" and even a bit in "Age of Reptiles," But I find it hard to apply that genre to their newest album. If I didn't know any better, I'd say iut had a bit of an industrial twist to it. Regardless, I don't want this to pop into some huge genre debate like the Underoath article, I just want to know what any one else thinks. ¤IrønCrøw¤ (Speak to Me) 22:57, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also wanted to add that the sentence, "For unspecified reasons, Anorexia Nervosa will not be distributed to the Christian Bookstore Association market." Seems a bit odd, because if I remember correctly, you can still get the album from Scipture Haven. ¤IrønCrøw¤ (Speak to Me) 23:01, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: I re-read the bit, and it's a warning not to buy from itunes, NOT saying that the albums will not be sold by Christian bookstores, the link doesn't work now, so it's removed anyways. ¤IrønCrøw¤ (Speak to Me) 07:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Raw Rock, yo. That's what they call themselves. BTW, check out the forum! [1] Carak the zombie (talk) 21:57, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't matter. Wikipedia is based on reliable sources, and self-published material is not reliable. BreakerLOLZ (talk) 21:20, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite correct. A band may publish material about itself and that is reliable. However, this was a fan site and that is not. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:38, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article Plagerism?[edit]

http://lyrics.uz/sbewo-showbread.html - the page is exactly like this one. Is this page copied from them or vice versa? Either way - this article needs a rewrite. ¤IrønCrøw¤ (Speak to Me) 04:53, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I rewrote most it, feel free to fix my links, heh. ¤IrønCrøw¤ (Speak to Me) 07:18, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems Getting a Drummer[edit]

I hear that Showbread is having problems with the drummer. I also hear that Ricky was only a temporary drummer. Josh may even be drumming in the studio. Who's their potential live drummer? Or has that info been released yet. (BTW, Showbread's AMAZING!) Carak the zombie (talk) 21:57, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

--Well, Ricky wasn't really temporary. after he had a death in the family he had to leave and it was supposed to be a temporary leave, but it's looking like whoever drums on the new record won't be a member of the band, since they've had the photo shoot already with Josh, Mike, Patrick, and Landon. Unless, of course, Josh is the drummer. There was a guy named Luke they were working with at one of their recent rehearsals, but he has seemed to have disappeared as well. ??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.142.130.31 (talk) 20:41, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted parts[edit]

I deleted the following:

"Despite their blatant evangelical and biblical messages, Showbread's albums "Anorexia" and "Nervosa" were banned from Christian retail outlets because of the overall "dark" nature of much of the story and scenes involving rape, animal cruelty and abortion."

Due to the fact there was no source —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.79.93.109 (talk) 00:37, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It would have been better to mark them as needing citations. I will undo the removal and add the appropriate template. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:07, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Should we take "hardcore" away from the genre? post hardcore is already there and that kinda means the same thing so it's pretty stupid to have it there. Also, can we add dance punk to their genre? I've always heard their first two albums and catagorized it as a dance punk/emo combo. (talk) 28 February 2011 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.165.2.217 (talk) 17:38, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Only if you can delete the reference that states it. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:55, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How about the fact that i've talked to Josh Dies himself and he says he hates the screamo tag, so there's good reason to take it away. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolbutlame (talkcontribs) 14:26, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. That doesn't fly. Please see WP:RS and WP:V. I undid your removal of reference material but left the change to Who Can Know It?‎ since the earlier genre was unreferenced as well. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:58, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
