Miso[edit]

There is a contention that miso soup is made in a similar fashion as shiro. I argue that is unlikely since miso is made with fermented rice...not chickpeas. --Merhawie 01:19, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Miso is actually made of fermented soybeans, not rice, but I agree with your basic argument71.194.163.9 04:50, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it just occurred to me that this is probably someone confusing Shiro the chickpea paste with shiro miso. I'll remove the reference to miso.
