When did Wincobank railway station open?[edit]

This article claims, 'The first returning train met locomotive Leeds at Meadow Hall (then Wincobank railway station and now Meadowhall Interchange).' That was in 1838, but the Wincobank_railway_station page has the Wincobank railway station opening on 1 May 1868. I can't find a mention of Wincobank Station in Drake's Roadbook of the Sheffield and Rotherham Railway, 1840.

According to Butt, R.V.J. (1995). The Directory of Railway Stations, Patrick Stephens Ltd, Sparkford, Meadow Hall was a MS&LR staion opened in 1868, and was renamed Meadow Hall and Wincobank in 1899 until 1951. Wincobank was opened in 1868 by the Midalnd, renamed Wincobank and Meadow Hall in 1899 until 1951. No earlier S&RR stations are shown Chevin (talk) 07:04, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank's for the information. I have removed the claim about trains meeting at Wincobank Railway Station in 1838, when the railway first opened.

Later history - Was Grimesthorpe Bridge the only intermediate station?[edit]

The Later history has "the line's ONLY intermediate station, Grimesthorpe Bridge closed" in January 1843. What about Holmes_railway_station and Brightside_railway_station?
