The words of the coach, the former Ozeki Wakashimazu, "Let's work together to defeat foreign wrestlers," filled him with determination and he soon joined the stable. That's a rather strange quote, not very sumo-like at all. This came from the Japanese wiki. I tried to source the quote, but Japanese sports newspapers are notorious for flushing out their back articles regularly. Feel free to take the initiative and delete it. FourTildes 22:42, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
I decided to delete it myself. I found some references about the conservatism of his coach and his unwillingness to take on foreign wrestlers, but no reference to that statement. FourTildes 22:48, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Matsugane is one of the few stables without any foreign rikishi, so it is not inconceivable that he could have made such a statement, but I agree without a direct source it should go.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 14:28, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
