additions by Ellis[edit]

The second English edition (which was reprinted by Dover Publications in 1954) contains voluminous additions by the translator, Alexander John Ellis. I'd put this in the article but I don't know if the same is true of the first English edition. —Tamfang (talk) 06:49, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Tamfang: Added with inline citation. I don't know about the first edition either, but it's worth mentioning about the second, given how detailed and interesting some of the additions by Ellis are. Thanks, Mxtt.prior (talk) 10:09, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The first English edition also says "translated ... with additional notes and an additional appendix". —Tamfang (talk) 17:23, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I’ve reworded to include that. Mxtt.prior (talk) 17:27, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
